Mind you, I&#8217;m not really a fan of hunting. I think that&#8217;s why the following song from the great French singer <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/tribute-to-michel-delpech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener form of wetlands environment. They can be translated in English as\u00a0<em>swamp, marsh,\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>bog.<\/em> If you&#8217;re interested in exploring these environments (and other\u00a0<em>milieux humides), <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.milieuxhumides.com\/comprendre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here<\/a>.<br \/>\n** Why is the south of France referred to as &#8220;<em>le midi<\/em>&#8220;? Well, <em>selon<\/em> (<em>according to<\/em>) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europe1.fr\/emissions\/Les-pourquoi-de-la-vie-quotidienne\/Pourquoi-dit-on-du-sud-qu-il-est-le-midi-de-la-France-89488\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this clip from Europe1<\/a>, we call the south of France (at least the 1\/4 of the country below the 45th parallel)\u00a0<em>le midi<\/em> because &#8220;<em>\u00e0 midi (en Latin le milieu de la journ\u00e9e) lorsqu&#8217;on regarde le soleil, il nous indique le sud)&#8221; \/ at noon, (midi in Latin signifies the middle of the day) when you look at the sun, it points to the south<\/em>.<br \/>\n*** Notice the use of the verb <em>\u00ea<\/em><span style=\"font-style: italic\">tre <\/span>here. Remember that <span style=\"font-style: italic\">bien<\/span> can be both an adverb (modifying a verb) and adjective (modifying a verb). When used with the verb <span style=\"font-style: italic\">aller<\/span> as in Je<span style=\"font-style: italic\"> vais bien<\/span> it relates to an emotional state of being and describes one&#8217;s mood. When used with the verb <em>\u00ea<\/em><span style=\"font-style: italic\">tre <\/span>though it has a slightly different meaning.
