She interpreted songs by artists from Jacques Brel to Serge Gainsbourg &#8230; and even had a romantic relationship with the American Jazz legend Miles Davis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Little French Songs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As France&#8217;s former first lady <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/a-singer-captures-mon-coeur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carla Bruni reminded us<\/a>, the French are famous for songs that tell stories.
