M. Chirac, who was <strong>Maire de Paris<\/strong> (<em>Mayor of Paris<\/em>) for 18 years before serving two terms as president (1995 &#8211; 2007) leaves behind an impressive legacy. and that played a part in <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/think-you-know-everything-about-the-number-two-in-french-think-again-deuxieme-vs-seconde-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">la seconde Guerre Mondiale<\/a>.
