If you go shopping for something pretty, you\u2019ll need to know a few important terms. Des bijoux<\/strong> are usually made en or<\/strong> (of gold<\/em>) or en argent<\/strong> (of silver<\/em>). If you want the real thing, make sure you look for it. Some jewelry is plaqu\u00e9e<\/strong> \u2026 plaqu\u00e9e<\/strong> or<\/strong> or plaqu\u00e9e<\/strong> argent<\/strong> (gold or silver plated<\/em>). If you see something that is dor\u00e9e<\/strong> or argent\u00e9e<\/strong>, that can mean that it is simply gold- (or silver-)colored<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In other words, des boucles d\u2019oreilles dor\u00e9es<\/strong> are not the same as des boucles d\u2019oreilles en or<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
