Business promotional materials can provide tons of great practice for language learners. They can help us work on telling time<\/a>, recognizing the names of days and the months<\/a>, and even learn a little bit about local culture. La p\u00e9pini\u00e8re Les Hortensias du Haut-Bois is my favorite French business because it is owned by two people who are very important to me<\/a>. But it is also an amazing place to learn about and to enjoy some amazing plantes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Plantes<\/em> is the generic umbrella term that covers les fleurs<\/strong> (flowers<\/em>)<\/a>, les arbustes<\/strong> (shrubs\/bushes<\/em>), and even les arbres<\/strong> (trees<\/em>).<\/div>\n

This month, the nursery will hold its annual journ\u00e9es portes ouvertes<\/strong> (open house, <\/em>lit. days of open doors<\/em>) during which, if you\u2019re lucky enough to be dans le coin <\/strong>(in the area<\/em>, lit. in the corner<\/em>), you can discover the nursery\u2019s 27 acres<\/em> (13 hectares<\/strong>1<\/a><\/sup>Un hectare<\/em> is equivalent to approximately 2 acres<\/span>) of over 50,000 plants.<\/p>\n
