This week I discovered an interesting French musical group that puts these same concerns to a party beat to remind us that . . .<\/p>\n

Ensemble on peut faire mieux<\/strong><\/p>\n

Together we can do better<\/em>. In today\u2019s world of global pandemics and changement climatique<\/strong> (climate change<\/em>), we all need to work together if we want to proteger la Terre<\/strong> (protect the Earth)<\/em>. If we do, \u201ctout pourrait \u00eatre autrement<\/strong>\u201d (everything could be different<\/em>)<\/a>. And if not \u2026<\/p>\n

Well, in this video<\/a> the group reminds us that l\u2019univers continuera sans nous … et les villes<\/a> deviendront des forets <\/strong>(the universe will go on without us … and the cities will become forests). <\/em><\/p>\n

The group, Catastrophe<\/strong><\/a>, are equal parts musical troupe and performance artists as illustrated by this clip<\/a>. Le Petit Prince<\/a>: nouvelle ecolo?<\/strong> (The Little Prince: Green novella?<\/em>) Why does Le Petit Prince evoke l\u2019avenir de notre plan\u00e8te pour moi<\/strong> (the future of our planet for me<\/em>)? Two reasons: les baobabs et les volcans<\/strong> (baobabs and volcanoes<\/em>). The little prince wants his new friend to lui dessiner un mouton<\/a><\/strong> so that it can keep the baobabs in check before they can do lasting damage to his fragile home. \u201cSi la plan\u00e8te est trop petite, et si les baobabs sont trop nombreux, ils la font \u00e9clater \u00bb<\/strong> (if the planet is too small, and if the baobabs are too many, they will blow it apart<\/em>). And, on his planet the little prince has three volcanoes, deux en activit\u00e9s et un \u00e9teint<\/b> (two active ones and one dormant<\/em>). Before leaving on his journey, the little prince made sure to ramoner ses volcans<\/strong> (clean his volcanoes<\/em>) since he knew the importance of taking care of his home.<\/div>\n
