Perhaps even a bottle of wine! We would often stop on our way to my family&#8217;s country house and have lunch in the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/before-versailles-and-before-the-louvre-fontainebleau-palace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>for\u00eat de Fontainebleau<\/strong><\/a>. Cornichons are pickles, but very particular tiny French gherkins. They are a perfect accompaniment to the kinds of things you might take on a picnic &#8230; or find on une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/because-you-cant-always-have-paris-in-the-springtime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>planche de charcuterie<\/strong><\/a> in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Les cornichons\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lK8e-qY7CbQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"woo-sc-box  normal   \">The video might not be much to look at, but it has the best sound quality I could find.
