The worlds largest art museum<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"4\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-4\">4<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-4\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"4\">both in actual size and in terms of the size of its collection<\/span>, is surely the most well-known art museum in France &#8230; perhaps the world. The Louvre is not only the world&#8217;s largest art museum, it is also the world&#8217;s most visited. But the Louvre is just one of many wonderful museums.<\/p>\n<h4>Le Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Orsay<\/h4>\n<p>Just across the river Seine from the Louvre, housed in an old train station, is the wonderful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musee-orsay.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Orsay<\/a>. Famous for its collection of Impressionist paintings, the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Orsay is also simply an amazing building full of interesting architectural details \u2026 including its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museedupaysduder.com\/lhorloge-du-musee-dorsay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">very photographed\u00a0<strong>horloges<\/strong><\/a><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"5\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-5\">5<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-5\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"5\"><em>clocks<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h4>Paris&#8217;s newest museum<\/h4>\n<p>Paris&#8217;s newest contemporary art museum is also housed in an architectural gem<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"6\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-6\">6<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-6\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"6\">One as old as the Eiffel Tower and like the tower was inaugurated for the 1889 Universal Exposition. <\/span>&#8216;. Billionaire <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fran%C3%A7ois_Pinault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fran\u00e7ois Pinault<\/a> renovated the historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinaultcollection.com\/fr\/boursedecommerce\/trois-annees-de-transformation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bourse de Commerce<\/a> to house a portion of his collection and challenged the Japanese architect Tadao Ando to create a space that would\u00a0<strong>mettre en valeur la collection<\/strong><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"7\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-7\">7<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_33835-7\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"7\"><em>show off\/highlight the collection<\/em><\/span> while highlighting the historic nature of the building.
