As is often the case, the arrival of a new operating system is the opportunity for a new set of emojis to appear on our phones, tablets, and <strong>ordinateurs<\/strong><sup id=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-3\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"3\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-3\">3<\/a><\/sup><span role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"3\"><strong>computers<\/strong><\/span>. The new emojis (<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.emojipedia.org\/new-emojis-in-2021-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently approved by Unicode<\/a> and due to hit phones in 2022)\u00a0will grow the options <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.fr\/voici-les-102-nouveaux-emojis-qui-pourraient-arriver-sur-vos-smartphones-cette-annee-188155#1-visage-fondant-visage-saluant-visage-retenant-ses-larmes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>avec des ic\u00f4nes allant de l&#8217;\u00e9largissement des options de genre et de couleur de peau \u00e0 une boule disco et un troll<\/strong><\/a><sup id=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-4\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"4\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-4\">4<\/a><\/sup><span role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"4\"><em>with icons expanding the choice of skin color to a disco ball and a troll<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtl.fr\/actu\/sciences-tech\/journee-mondiale-des-emojis-le-top-10-des-plus-utilises-7800675648\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this article from RTL<\/a> in July of 2020, the most used emojis amongst the French are:<\/p>\n<p>1. Une inversion des tendances qui s&#8217;explique en partie, d&#8217;apr\u00e8s <em>Emojipedia<\/em>, par le fait que la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Z trouverait l&#8217;\u00e9moji avec des larmes de joie ? ringard.\u201d<\/strong><sup id=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-15\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"15\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000030d40000000000000000_34213-15\">15<\/a><\/sup><span role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"15\"><em>Henceforth, it\u2019s the crying eyes emoji that finds itself on top.
