As I write this (lundi 8 novembre<\/strong>)1<\/a><\/sup>Monday, November 8<\/em><\/span>, French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is on his way home from the International Space Station. As he journeys from space to the earth, let\u2019s look at his journey.<\/p>\n

From space to the earth<\/h3>\n

Back in April<\/a> the French astronaut Thomas Pesquet and three other astronauts left Cape Canaveral in Florida for a trip to the International Space Station. During the night of Monday, November 8 to mardi, 9 novembre\u00a0<\/strong>Pesquet will return to Earth abord a Dragon rocket \u2026 with broken toilets (so maybe everything already isn\u2019t going well!).<\/p>\n

\u201cLe retour sur Terre [qui] devrait durer plusieurs heures<\/strong>\u201d2<\/a><\/sup>The trip back to Earth [which] should last a few hours<\/em><\/span> will end in \u201cun\u00a0amerrissage, une premi\u00e8re pour Thomas. [\u2026]\u00a0Lors de sa pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente mission [\u2026] en 2016-2017, le Fran\u00e7ais avait atterri dans les steppes kazakhes<\/strong>\u201d3<\/a><\/sup>a water landing, a first for Thomas. During his last mission in 2016-2017, the Frenchman landed in the plains of Kazakstan<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

While the lack of toilets is an inconvenience, it\u2019s not a problem NASA can\u2019t overcome. What\u2019s next for the astronaut?<\/h3>\n

Puis l’astronaute prendra enfin un peu de vacances.<\/strong>\u201d12<\/a><\/sup>Finally the astronaut will take some vacation.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Eurovision Jr.<\/h3>\n

As Pesquet and his peers made their way into space last spring, we here on Earth were getting ready for the latest edition of the great Eurovision Song Contest. I\u2019ve been a fan for as long as I can remember, but I didn\u2019t know until recently that there is also a junior edition.<\/p>\n

And the latest edition of the 18-year old competition (first held in 2003) will take place in France! The host nation will be represented by 13 year old Enzo<\/a>, finalist on the French edition of the singing competition The Voice Kids. Enzo will sing a song called TicTac \u201cqui \u00aboscille\u00a0entre charleston vintage et pop d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui (\u2026) une invitation \u00e0 faire une pause pour profiter des choses simples loin de nos vies survolt\u00e9es et hyperconnect\u00e9es\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>.13<\/a><\/sup>that oscillates between a vintage Charleston and today\u2019s pop [\u2026] inviting us to pause in our overcharged and hyperconnected lives and take advantage of the simple things<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
