In my effort to provide vocabulary in context, I thought it would be a good idea to begin providing groups of words that belong with each other in some way. \u00a0Perhaps it will make vocabulary learning easier for my readers… Let me know what you think!<\/p>\n

In this article, I’ll provide some vocabulary words and expressions that are related to the family. \u00a0<\/p>\n

accoucher – to give birth<\/span>
\nl’accoucheur – the doctor that delivers the child<\/span>
\nl’accouchement – <\/em>childbirth<\/p>\n

adopter – to adopt<\/span>
\nl’adoption – adoption<\/span>
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

aimer – to love<\/span>
\nl’amour – love<\/span>
\nun amant – lover (romantic<\/span>ally – male)<\/span>
\nune maitresse – mistress<\/span>
\n\u00eatre amoureux de quelqu’un\u00a0– <\/em>be in love with someone<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

ascendant<\/em> – <\/em>ascendant<\/span>
\n\u00a0l’ascendance<\/em> – <\/em>descent<\/span>
