and friends, walking in a long &#8220;<em>cort\u00e8ge de noce<\/em>&#8221; (&#8220;wedding procession&#8221;), which ultimately leads her to settle with a husband she neither chose nor loved, into her new &#8220;<em>Cage dor<em>\u00e9e<\/em><\/em>&#8221;\u00a0(&#8220;golden cage&#8221;)&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">* * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The French &#8220;Folk&#8221; adventure of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/malicorne.legende.chez.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Malicorne<\/span><\/a><\/strong> saw the light some <strong>40 years ago<\/strong>, when\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gabrielyacoub.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gabriel Yacoub<\/span><\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0guitarist and singer of the group of\u00a0<strong>Alan Stivell<\/strong> (the &#8220;revivalist-in-chief&#8221; of <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/tribute-to-a-celtic-tune-la-tribu-de-dana-by-manau\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">la musique celtique<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong>) decided to forge <strong><em>son propre chemin <\/em><\/strong>(his own path.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Together with his wife <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/enjoy-a-cheerful-french-love-song-from-la-bretagne-brittany-marie-la-dondaine\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Marie<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, and joined by other musicians of outstanding talent<em>, <\/em>he went on to discover the hidden treasures of ancient popular dances and songs throughout the whole country of France, not confining himself <\/em>to <strong><em>la Bourgogne <\/em><\/strong>(Burgundy), and <strong><em>la Franche-Comt\u00e9<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: falk interpretation of Malicorne turns what is normally\u00a0a happy\u00a0<em>&#8220;cort\u00e8ge de noce<\/em>&#8221; (&#8220;wedding procession&#8221;) into a quasi-<em>marche fun<em>\u00e8bre <\/em><\/em>(funeral march), or at least what appears to be so, in the tearful eyes of a newly-married bride living in medieval France, who is suddenly forced to leave everything behind, in order to
