Hold on a second. Did I confuse you, un petit peu <\/em>?<\/p>\n

Well, je vous explique <\/em>(I explain to you),\u00a0by “Avez-vous\u00a0d\u00e9j\u00e0<\/em> vu<\/em>“, I actually mean the\u00a0title itself\u00a0of the\u00a0French animated\u00a0show of 45 seconds produced by the com\u00e9dien<\/em> Alain Chabat<\/strong>. If you have\u00a0watched French TV –<\/em>I mean: Avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision fran<\/em>\u00e7aise ?-<\/em> you would know him from the CANAL+ <\/strong>tv channel shows, like “Les Nuls<\/strong><\/em>“, or from movies such as “La Cit\u00e9 de la Peur<\/strong>“<\/em>, which is mainly a “au second degr\u00e9”<\/em>\u00a0(tongue-in-cheek)\u00a0spoof of the big Hollywood blockbusters of that time.\u00a0\u00a0He also played the role of\u00a0“Jules C\u00e9sar” (or Julius Cesar)\u00a0in the big 2002 hit\u00a0“Ast\u00e9rix et Ob\u00e9lix : Mission Cl\u00e9op\u00e2tre<\/strong><\/em>“, which we mentioned in the previous post (about “Les Visiteurs<\/em>.”) Finally, he is known for lending his\u00a0“polymorphic voice” (yes, yet another one of those)\u00a0to dub\u00a0a few\u00a0characters into French,\u00a0especially Shrek<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In\u00a0the episode above,\u00a0“Avez vous\u00a0d\u00e9j\u00e0<\/em> vu\u00a0… Cendrillon qui prend l’avion ?<\/strong><\/em>” (“Have you already seen… Cinderella taking a plane?”), Cinderella,\u00a0in “princess mode” we may say, is acting all impertinente<\/em>, all\u00a0sassy, flying 1\u00e8re classe<\/em> (1st class)\u00a0and\u00a0yet not\u00a0too happy about the airline\u00a0service…\u00a0Very hard to please the demoiselle, en effet <\/em>(indeed)…\u00a0“Ho ho!<\/em> Alors vraiment,<\/em> pour un service en premi\u00e8<\/em>re classe, c’est un peu minable !<\/em>” (“Hon hon hon! <\/em>[typical French interjection, you say?]\u00a0\u00a0For a first-class service, it’s pretty pathetic!) And then, all of\u00a0a sudden,\u00a0comes the announcement that le fuseau horaire\u00a0<\/em>(the time zone)\u00a0is switching to a new one, and therefore everyone\u00a0must change their watches to… minuit<\/strong><\/em> (midnight)!\u00a0Quelle catastrophe !<\/strong>
\n<\/em>Of course,\u00a0the “poor”\u00a0(and I mean, the now\u00a0literally poor) Cinderella\u00a0has\u00a0barely enough time to be kicked out of la premi\u00e8<\/em>re classe<\/em>,\u00a0before she could\u00a0explain to le steward\u00a0<\/em>that even the pilote -and in fact the whole plane!- are… well… you know!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00c0 part cela<\/em> (other than that), avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu un\u00a0poisson \u00e0 gage <\/em>? (Have you already seen a “hired (fish) killer”?)<\/p>\n

You’ll see, it’s actually not\u00a0that “fishy”…<\/em><\/p>\n
