It\u2019s mid-summer and the UK has been sweltering lately, so my usual hot coffee has been replaced with iced coffee. But what\u2019s also great is that, despite the translation of the word, you now know that \u2018Eiskaffee\u2019 in Germany (and Austria) is vastly different from the \u2018iced coffee\u2019 you get in the UK or US: an espresso poured over ice cubes. Now you can order Eiskaffee knowing exactly what you will be served: this sweet, tasty, coffee-dessert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Should you actually want a simple, cold coffee, though, what do you ask for?
