With corona virus spreading quickly worldwide, more people are having to stay at home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout Germany there are school closures, theatre closures and all exhibitions have been cancelled. Here in Munich, BMW sent over 150 employees home after one person tested positive for the virus. For further updates on the situation in Germany, click here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

So here are some ideas on how to stay happy and <\/span>besch\u00e4ftigt <\/b>(busy) whilst staying at home.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Decorate Your Home<\/p>\n

    As you are spending more time at home now\u00a0 than ever, why not spend time redecorating?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Here are some ideas:<\/span><\/p>\n

    – <\/span>Streiche die W\u00e4nde<\/b><\/p>\n

    (Paint the walls)<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Bestelle neues Deko, zum Beispiel: Kissenbez\u00fcge, Spiegel, Teppiche, Kerzen.<\/b><\/p>\n

    (Order new decorations, such as: cushion covers, mirrors, carpets, candles)<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Entsorge alle Sachen, die Du nicht mehr benutzt, dadurch wird wieder mehr Platz geschafft.<\/b><\/p>\n

    (declutter old things that you no longer use, this creates more space)<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Eweitere Dein Wissen und lerne etwas Neues<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Whether this is learning a new language or a musical instrument, this is the perfect time to for learning something new. I am currently crocheting a blanket at home which also helps me to relax in the evenings.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03. Plant New Plants and Herbs<\/span><\/p>\n

        If you have a garden or balcony, spend some time outside watching your plants grow and thrive. If you live in a <\/span>Wohnung <\/b>(flat), you can still put plants in each room and look after them. I grew an Avocado <\/strong><\/span>Baum <\/b>(avocado tree) from a seed and love watching it grow. Plants also clean the air and give rooms a nice touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Instead of being bored at home, use this time to do the things that you never have time for! See it as a positive instead of a negative. A lot of people in Germany are also working from home now to avoid mixing with too many people.
