Here is my monthly update on how the situation is in Germany! Here in Germany the restrictions are continuing to lift and sometimes there is a sense of normality again. You can find part one and part two of my corona chronicles in Germany <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/german\/the-corona-chronicles-in-germany-part-1\/\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/german\/the-corona-chronicles-in-germany-part-2\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>Kontaktverbot statt Ausgangsbeschr\u00e4nkung<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>A contact ban instead of a curfew<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p>From the 6th of May the official curfew\/restrictions to leave your home has been lifted. You are allowed to go out to the shops, have a picnic and resume other normalities. However there is still a no contact rule, you must keep your distance between\u00a0yourself and\u00a0others,\u00a0and you are only allowed to see one other household at a time. Wearing a mask on public transport is still mandatory.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>Ab dem 8. Mai d\u00fcrfen sich zwei Haushalte treffen<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>From the 8th of May two households are allowed to meet<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This rule was eased just in time for Mother&#8217;s Day. Two households (which also means more than two people) are allowed to meet either at home or outside.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>Ab dem 11. Mai d\u00fcrfen alle Gesch\u00e4fte, Museen und Zoos \u00f6ffnen<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>From the 11th of May all shops, <\/i><\/em><em><i>museums<\/i><\/em><em><i>,<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0and zoos open<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p>You must however still wear a facemask when going into\u00a0shops and museums.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><b><i>Ab dem 18. Mai darf die Gastronomie im Au\u00dfenbereich \u00f6ffnen<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>From the 18th of May outdoor dining<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/em><em><i>at<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0restau<\/i><\/em><em><i>rants<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/em><em><i>is<\/i><\/em><em><i>\u00a0allowed<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p>There will still have to be a 1.5-meter <strong><b>Mindestabstand <\/b><\/strong>(minimum distance) between guests, people from two different households are allowed to meet and only the waiters must wear <strong><b>Mundschutz <\/b><\/strong>(masks). Mai d\u00fcrfen die Sch\u00fcler teilweise den Unterricht wieder besuchen<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><i>From the 18th of May some pupils<\/i><\/em><em><i> are allowed to attend classes again<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Many of the school subjects are slimmed down and mainly the core subjects will be taught. This means <strong><b>Sport <\/b><\/strong>(sport), <strong><b>Kunst <\/b><\/strong>(art) and <strong><b>Musik <\/b><\/strong>(music) will not be taught as often. The classes will be divided into smaller groups,\u00a0who will take turns in going to school. I personally am still enjoying the slow life and taking things as they come.\u00a0I find it a real hidden blessing to be able to take your time and enjoy the smaller things in life, even if this situation can sometimes be a struggle.<\/p>\n<p>How are you doing from where you&#8217;re from?
