Following on from my last post, which you can find here<\/a><\/span>, I will be giving you five top tips on how to keep your plants alive and thriving indoors. I love having plants in my home. Not only are they good air filters, but they also brighten up the place.<\/span><\/p>\n

These Plants Love the Sun<\/span><\/p>\n

Not all plants need a lot of sunlight, but there are some that can\u2019t get enough sun and are therefore great for your <\/span>Fensterbrett<\/b> (windowsill), especially near a <\/span>Sudfenster<\/b> (south facing window).<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few plants that need a lot of sunlight:<\/span><\/p>\n

These Plants do not Need a lot of Sun<\/span><\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t have a very sunny home then don\u2019t worry, there are also enough plants that don\u2019t need as much <\/span>Sonnenlicht<\/b> (sunlight).<\/span><\/p>\n

Plants that are happy with less sunlight:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ringelblumen<\/b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0marigolds<\/span><\/p>\n

B\u00e4rlauch\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b> wild garlic<\/span><\/p>\n

Gr\u00fcnlilie<\/b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 spider plant<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Die Pflanze gleich umtopfen<\/b><\/h3>\n

Repot the Plant\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are buying a plant, then usually the pot it comes in is going to be too small for the plant, this will stunt its growth. Repot the plant into a bigger pot and watch it thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Jede Pflanze braucht unterschiedlichen Mengen an Wasser<\/b><\/h3>\n

Each Plant Needs Different Amounts of Water<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have lots of different types of plants, note which ones need more water than others. Write a schedule on what days you water what plants, for example <\/span>Sukkulenten <\/b>do not need a lot of water at all, but <\/span>Basilikum <\/b>on the other hand needs to be watered regularly. Also note the change of season can also influence how much water your plant needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Schneiden Sie Ihre Pflanze<\/b><\/h3>\n

Trim Your Plant<\/span><\/p>\n

Leaves do eventually get old and die, or maybe your plant has a problem that you should try and find the solution to. Whichever the reason, you should be cutting off any dead leaves or flowers so that your plant isn\u2019t wasting energy on parts that no longer grow. Trimming old leaves can also encourage the plant to grow new leaves.<\/span><\/p>\n
