Mozart lived a short life (1756 \u2013 1791), dying at the age of 35. So it might surprise you to learn that the Austrian composer also created a piece titled<strong><em> \u2018Leck Mich Im Arsch\u2019<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 literally,<em> \u2018Lick me in the a*s\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yes, it\u2019s true! Mozart wrote a Canon for 6 Voices in B-Flat Major, titled <strong><em>Leck Mich Im Arsch.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>This (or <em>Leck mich am Arsch<\/em>) is a common German phrase, by the way. You can read more about it, and similar phrases, <a title=\"Du kannst mich!! 11 ways to express anger in German\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/german\/du-kannst-mich-11-ways-to-express-anger-in-german\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in this blog post here. \u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, back to Mozart!<\/p>\n<p><em>Leck Mich Im Arsch<\/em> is actually a very pleasant-sounding song (<strong><em>das Lied<\/em><\/strong>). There is actually another Canon (<strong><em>der Kanon<\/em><\/strong>) of his titled <strong><em>\u2018Leck Mir Den Arsch Fein Recht Sch\u00f6n Sauber\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (\u2018Lick my a* nice and clean\u2019). You could say Mozart\u2019s humour was rather childish (<strong><em>kindisch<\/em><\/strong>)!<\/p>\n<p>You can listen to this second canon here. Again, it sounds very serious and elegant:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-VsieYM4NZE\">Cor Vivaldi &#8211; Leck mir den Arsch fein recht scho\u0308n sauber &#8211; W A Mozart &#8211; 5\/14 &#8211; YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, these wonderfully-titled works, along with some others, weren\u2019t published until after Mozart\u2019s death (<strong><em>der Tod<\/em><\/strong>). However, the original lyrics of <em>Leck Mich Im Arsch<\/em> were discovered in 1991.
