(formal: 2<sup>nd<\/sup> person sgl. and pl.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Instead of the <strong><em>Futur I<\/em><\/strong> you can alternatively use the <strong><em>Pr\u00e4sens<\/em><\/strong> tense to refer to the future. But when you use the <strong><em>Pr\u00e4sens<\/em><\/strong> you have to insert an adverb of time, for example, <strong><em>bald<\/em><\/strong> (soon), <strong><em>gleich<\/em><\/strong> (immediately), <strong><em>n\u00e4chstes Jahr<\/em><\/strong> (next year), <strong><em>am Abend<\/em><\/strong> (in the evening), etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. Ich fahre n\u00e4chste Woche nach Berlin. \u2013 I will go to Berlin next week.<\/p>\n<p>6. Justin arbeitet n\u00e4chstes Jahr in Frankfurt. \u2013 Justin will work in Frankfurt next year.<\/p>\n<p>7. Sie bekommen morgen eine neue Lieferung. \u2013 You will get a new delivery tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>b) The <strong><em>Futur I<\/em><\/strong> is also used to announce the assumption that an action a) is taking place at the moment or b) will take place in the future. In order to make clear that you only express an assumption you often insert words like: vielleicht \u2013 maybe, vermutlich \u2013 probably, and wohl \u2013 perhaps.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>9. Ist David zu Hause? Nein, er wird wohl noch bei einem Freund sein.<\/p>\n<p>(Is David at home? No, perhaps he is still at a friend\u2019s place.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>10.
