Last week, Max was expecting Laura for their date. She came a little early, but that was ok! They ate hedgehog slice, which Laura liked a lot, and then went for a\u00a0after-dinner walk\u00a0to the\u00a0Weihnachtsmarkt.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kapitel 11<\/em><\/strong>
\nMax verliert Laura fast in dem ganzen Get\u00fcmmel. Der Weihnachtsmarkt ist \u00fcberf\u00fcllt mit Menschen. Von hinten wird er immer wieder in Laura\u2019s R\u00fccken geschubst. Nur sehr langsam kommen sie voran.<\/em>
\n\u00bbDa ist die Eislaufbahn!\u00ab ruft sie pl\u00f6tzlich, und zeigt mit dem Zeigefinger irgendwo vor ihnen.<\/em>
\nNach weitere gef\u00fchlte zehn Minuten kommen sie an beim Eislaufstand. Sie scheinen Gl\u00fcck zu haben. Trotz der enormen Menschenmasse auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt sind nicht viele auf dem Eis. In der Mitte der Eislaufbahn\u00a0steht ein gro\u00dfer, geschm\u00fcckter Tannenbaum.<\/em>
\nAuf dem Zettel am Stand stehen die Preise:<\/em><\/p>\n

45 Minuten Eislaufen – \u20ac 5,-
\nSchlittschuhe leihen –\u00a0 \u20ac 3,-
\n\u00a0<\/em>
\nMax wendet sich dem Verk\u00e4ufer zu: \u00bb45 Minuten Eislaufen f\u00fcr zwei, bitte. Wir m\u00f6chten auch Schlittschuhe leihen.\u00ab<\/em>
\n\u00bbDas wird 16 Euro\u00ab, erwidert der Verk\u00e4ufer.<\/em>
\nMax gibt ihm das Geld, und bekommt vier Karten daf\u00fcr zur\u00fcck. Zwei als Eintritt f\u00fcr die 45 Minuten, und die anderen beiden f\u00fcr die Schlittschuhe. <\/em>
\nLaura und Max holen sich Schlittschuhe, und ab geht\u2019s aufs Eis!<\/em>
\nLaura f\u00e4hrt sofort los. Schnell macht sie ihre erste Runde auf der kleinen Strecke. Sie f\u00e4hrt tadellos!<\/em>
\nMax dagegen h\u00e4lt sich an der Holzwand fest, als er sich auf das Eis wagt. Die glatte Oberfl\u00e4che ist ihm noch nicht ganz geheuer. <\/em>
\n\u00bbKomm\u2018 schon, Max! Du kannst das schon! Es ist wie beim Rollschuh laufen, dann merkst du gar nicht mehr wie glatt das Eis ist!\u00ab feuert Laura ihn an. <\/em>
\nVorsichtig l\u00e4sst Max die Holzwand los und folgt Laura aufs Eis. Er macht die ersten wackligen Z\u00fcge. Langsam sp\u00fcrt Max dass er es noch kann, und er h\u00e4lt mit Laura mit.<\/em>
\nDer leichte, k\u00fchle Fahrtwind weht ihm ins Gesicht. Links, rechts, links, rechts\u2026<\/em>
\n\u00bbDas macht richtig Spa\u00df!\u00ab ruft Max.<\/em>
\nLaura stimmt ein mit einem lauten \u00bbJuhuuuuu!!!\u00ab<\/em><\/p>\n

THE TRANSLATION<\/u><\/p>\n

Chapter 11<\/strong>
\nMax almost loses Laura in all the tumult. The Christmas market is overcrowded with people. He is pushed into Laura\u2019s back from behind again and again. They proceed only very slowly.
\n\u201cThere is the ice rink!\u201d she suddenly shouts, and points with her index finger somewhere in front of them.
\nAfter another perceived ten minutes, they arrive at the ice skating stand. They seem to be in luck. Despite the enormous crowd of people on the Christmas market, not many are on the ice. In the middle of the ice rink is a large, decorated fir tree.
\nOn a note at the stand are the prices:<\/p>\n

45 minutes ice skating – \u20ac 5,-<\/em>
\nRent ice skates \u2013 \u20ac 3,-<\/em><\/p>\n

Max turns to the vendor: \u201c45 minutes ice skating for two, please. We would also like to rent ice skates.\u201d
\n\u201cThat\u2019s 16 euro,\u201c the vendor replies.
\nMax gives him the money, and receives four tickets in return. Two as entrance for the 45 minutes, and the other two for the ice skates.
\nLaura and Max get the ice skates, and let\u2019s go onto the ice!
\nLaura skates right away. Quickly, she does her first round on the small track. She skates flawlessly!
\nMax, on the other hand, holds on to the wood wall when he dares himself onto the ice. The slippery surface still gives him the creeps a little.
\n\u201cCome on, Max! You can do it! It is like roller-skating, then you won\u2019t even notice anymore how slippery the ice is!\u201d Laura encourages him.
\nCarefully, Max lets go of the wood wall and follows Laura onto the ice. He makes the first shaky strides. Slowly Max feels that he can still do it, and he keeps up with laura.
\nThe light, cool airstream blows in his face. Left, right, left, right\u2026
\n\u201cIt\u2019s a lot of fun!\u201d Max shouts.
\nLaura joins in with a loud \u201eJuhuuuuu!!!\u201c<\/p>\n
