In Germany you usually have a\u00a0very simple breakfast consisting of German bread, various toppings (butter, jam, sausage etc), boiled eggs, coffee and juice. A few big chain bakeries are: Wimmer, Z\u00f6ttl and Rischart. Depending where you live, there are also some bakeries that come to your door everyday selling their goods, which is of course very convenient. (CC BY 2.0)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><u>Ein bayerisches Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Bavaria they have a traditional second breakfast consisting of <strong>Wei\u00dfbier<\/strong> (literally translates to \u201cwhite beer\u201d, is however wheat beer)<strong>, Wei\u00dfw\u00fcrste <\/strong>(white sausages)<strong> mit s\u00fc\u00dfem Senf <\/strong>(with sweet mustard) <strong>und Brezen<\/strong> (pretzels). It may sound odd to drink beer in the morning but the Bavarians see Beer as <strong>Lebensmittel<\/strong> (food) rather than alcohol! This would be eaten at around 10:30, after breakfast and before lunch, hence why it is called <strong>ein zweites Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck<\/strong>.
