Ways to say nein \u2013 no<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Das interessiert mich nicht \u2013 That doesn\u2019t interest me<\/p>\n

Das will ich nicht \u2013 I don\u2019t want that<\/p>\n

Das kann ich nicht \u2013 I can\u2019t do that<\/p>\n

Das mag ich nicht \u2013 I don\u2019t like that<\/p>\n

Ich kann nicht \u2013 I can\u2018t<\/p>\n

Ich habe keine Zeit \u2013 I don\u2019t have time<\/p>\n

Das geht (momentan) nicht \u2013 It\u2019s not possible (at the moment)<\/p>\n

\n(An unusual-sounding phrase that literally translates to \u2018I have to do\u2019, omitting what it is there is to<\/u> do. Though it might sound odd, it is correct German!)<\/em><\/p>\n

Lieber nicht \u2013 I\u2019d rather not<\/p>\n

Dieses Mal kann ich nicht \u2013 I can\u2019t this time<\/p>\n

Ich habe schon Pl\u00e4ne \u2013 I already have plans<\/p>\n

Soften the blow of a nein<\/em>:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Depends who you\u2019re talking to and how badly you want to get rid of them, right? Add the following onto the front of any of the above phrases if you want to soften the blow of your no:<\/p>\n
