Hallo! As my favourite season is upon is (Herbst \u2013 autumn) I decided there would be nothing better than a little post on all things Herbst in German.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Herbstwetter<\/strong> (autumn weather) is beautiful. It\u2019s k\u00fchl<\/strong> (cool) outside, often windig<\/strong> (windy) but nevertheless nice and sonnig<\/strong> (sunny). At times it can be rather regnerisch<\/strong> (rainy), too. However, you can sum all of this up by saying the weather is ‘herbstlich’<\/strong> – autumnal!<\/p>\n

In Herbst<\/strong> (autumn) we go from wearing Sommerkleider<\/strong> (summer clothes) to Herbstkleider<\/strong> (autumn clothes). So instead of wearing a Kleid<\/strong> (dress) and Sandalen<\/strong> (sandals) we wear a Pullover<\/strong> (jumper) and Stiefeln<\/strong> (boots)!<\/p>\n

A lot of people like Herbst<\/strong> because it gives them a chance to wear their M\u00fctze<\/strong> (hat), Schaal<\/strong> (scarf) and Handschuhe<\/strong> (gloves) again.<\/p>\n

In Herbst<\/strong> people like to drink Hei\u00dfe Schokolade<\/strong> (hot chocolate) or Pumpkin Spice Latte <\/strong>(yep, it exists in Germany and under the same name).<\/p>\n

In Herbst<\/strong>, Bl\u00e4tter<\/strong> (leaves) are a variety of beautiful colours: rot<\/strong> (red), gelb<\/strong> (yellow), gr\u00fcn<\/strong> (green), orange<\/strong> (orange) and braun<\/strong> (brown). A favourite thing for some people is: Die <\/em>Bl\u00e4tter knirschen<\/em> unter den F\u00fc\u00dfen<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 ‘The leaves crunch underfoot’!<\/p>\n
