Guten Tag! Today I thought I\u2019d give you the practical vocabulary and phrases that you need to visit the optician\/get an eye test done in German. So without further ado, let\u2019s get started!<\/p>\n

When you go for an eye test, the person who performs the test is called an optometrist<\/strong>. In German, an optometrist is called der Augenarzt<\/strong> (male) or die Augen\u00e4rztin<\/strong> (female).<\/p>\n

The person who fits and verifies your glasses (the optician<\/strong>) is called der Optiker<\/strong> (male) or die Optikerin<\/strong> (female).<\/p>\n
