However, beginners find it hard to use them. The reason is that the numbers one, three and four are not invariable and are declined. They have three genders (masculine, feminine and neuter), cases , singular and plural. Number one has only singular and numbers three and four have only plural. When counting, we use the neuter: \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1, \u03b4\u03cd\u03bf, \u03c4\u03c1\u03af\u03b1. Mia) <\/em>\u201cHow many chocolates did you eat?\u201d \u201cOne.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u03a4\u03bf \u03bc\u03bf\u03bb\u03cd\u03b2\u03b9 \u03ba\u03ac\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9 \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1 \u03b5\u03c5\u03c1\u03ce.<\/strong> <em>(To molivi kani ena evro) <\/em>The pencil costs one euro.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the final <strong>-\u03bd<\/strong> of the accusative <em>\u03ad\u03bd\u03b1\u03bd<\/em> should not be omitted in order to distinguish the masculine from the neuter (<em>\u03ad\u03bd\u03b1\u03bd vs \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1<\/em>).
