The aim is to bring out the wall as it was formed after the bombing of Morosini in 1687 and before the siege of the Acropolis (\u0391\u03ba\u03c1\u03cc\u03c0\u03bf\u03bb\u03b7) in 1822 when the Turks broke the ancient stones to take and use the lead. The Turks broke 500 stones.\u00a0 The restoration will be accomplished in fifteen years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Battle of the Centaurs<\/strong> <em>(\u0397 \u039a\u03b5\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c5\u03c1\u03bf\u03bc\u03b1\u03c7\u03af\u03b1)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Centaur battle is depicted on carved marbles on\u00a0 of the Southern metopes of Parthenon (Metopes 1-12 and\u00a0 22-32). According to the myth, the Lapiths (\u039b\u03b1\u03c0\u03af\u03b8\u03b5\u03c2)\u00a0 were people brought to Thessaly by Pirithus (\u03a0\u03b5\u03b9\u03c1\u03af\u03b8\u03bf\u03bf\u03c2)and Theseus (\u0398\u03b7\u03c3\u03ad\u03b1\u03c2). Pirithos, to celebrate his marriage to (\u0399\u03c0\u03c0\u03bf\u03b4\u03ac\u03bc\u03b5\u03b9\u03b1) Hippodameia, made a feast in which he invited the Centaurs (\u039a\u03ad\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c5\u03c1\u03bf\u03b9), who were his relatives. \u03a4he Centaurs were uncivilized creatures, and as they were not \u00a0accustomed to wine, the were drunk and one of them,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eurytion\">Eurytion<\/a> (\u0395\u03c5\u03c1\u03c5\u03c4\u03af\u03c9\u03bd), tried to rape the \u00a0bride. The \u00a0Lapiths cut Eurytion\u2019s nose and ears and ordered the Centaurs to leave. The wedding ended in a fight and many fighters were lost from both sides.
