It also works as a mosquito repellent.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03b7 \u03c1\u03af\u03b3\u03b1\u03bd\u03b7:<\/span> oregano<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03c4\u03bf \u03b8\u03c5\u03bc\u03ac\u03c1\u03b9:<\/span> thyme<\/p>\n<p>\u03a1\u03af\u03b3\u03b1\u03bd\u03b7 and \u03b8\u03c5\u03bc\u03ac\u03c1\u03b9 can be used interchangeably. We use them in salads and sauces. \u03a1\u03af\u03b3\u03b1\u03bd\u03b7 is always used to season a Greek salad.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03c4\u03bf \u03b4\u03b5\u03bd\u03c4\u03c1\u03bf\u03bb\u03af\u03b2\u03b1\u03bd\u03bf:<\/span> rosemary<br \/>\nIt is used in some sauces or on roast meat.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03b7 \u03bb\u03b5\u03b2\u03ac\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1:<\/span> lavender<br \/>\nIt is used in homemade cosmetics and air fresheners and to protect the clothes from moth (\u03c3\u03ba\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03c4\u03bf \u03c7\u03b1\u03bc\u03bf\u03bc\u03ae\u03bb\u03b9:<\/span> chamomile<br \/>\nA chamomile tea with honey is the best grandmother&#8217;s remedy for a sore throat.It also helps to relax and it relieves menstrual cramps.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03c4\u03bf \u03c4\u03c3\u03ac\u03b9 \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u03b2\u03bf\u03c5\u03bd\u03bf\u03cd:<\/span> iron wort (literally: mountain tea)<br \/>\nWe drink it when we have stomach problems. It also relieves cold symptoms. We also use it in cooking.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03c4\u03bf \u03c4\u03af\u03bb\u03b9\u03bf: l<\/span>inden<br \/>\nLinden tea helps us relax.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03bf \u03b4\u03c5\u03cc\u03c3\u03bc\u03bf\u03c2:<\/span> spearmint<br \/>\nWe use it in cooking. It is also helps in stomach and lung problems and it freshens the breath.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03b7 \u03bb\u03bf\u03c5\u03af\u03b6\u03b1:<\/span> verbena<br \/>\nIt helps in infections, insomnia problems and\u00a0 symptoms of cold. It is also effective if we try to lose weight.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03b7 \u03b4\u03ac\u03c6\u03bd\u03b7:<\/span> bay<br \/>\nIt is used in cooking.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">\u03b7 \u03c4\u03c3\u03bf\u03c5\u03ba\u03bd\u03af\u03b4\u03b1:<\/span> nettle<br \/>\nIt relieves joint pains.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember:<\/strong> One must be very cautious when consuming herbs. Make sure that you are not allergic. When you make a herbal tea, do not let the herbs pour in boiling water for a long time.
