It is time to explore Greek music, so the topic of this post is <strong>\u039c\u03b5 \u03b3\u03ad\u03bb\u03b1\u03c3\u03b1\u03bd \u03c4\u03b1 \u03c0\u03bf\u03c5\u03bb\u03b9\u03ac<\/strong>, a Greek folk song from Thrace (\u0398\u03c1\u03ac\u03ba\u03b7).<br \/>\nThe version I chose to present is by \u0398\u03b1\u03bd\u03ac\u03c3\u03b7\u03c2 \u0396\u03ae\u03ba\u03b1\u03c2 (Thanasis Zikas) and \u0395\u03cd\u03b7 \u03a3\u03b5\u03ca\u03c4\u03b1\u03bd\u03af\u03b4\u03bf\u03c5 (Evi Seytanidou), known as \u039a\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b9\u03bd\u03ad\u03bb\u03b9\u03b1 (<a href=\"https:\/\/el-gr.facebook.com\/kadinelia\">Kadinelia<\/a>). but in this case it is a term of endearment.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03b1\u03b8\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03b1:<\/span> from <em>\u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03b1\u03b8\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9<\/em> (\u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03ac\u03b8\u03c5\u03c1\u03bf, window), a word used mostly in folk poetry.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2<\/span> (Charon) carries the souls of the dead people to the Underworld.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u03c0\u03b1:<\/span> from <em>\u03c0\u03ac\u03bd\u03c9<\/em> (on, on top of).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">About Greek folk poetry:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>#1. It is an oral form of poetry, so the term &#8220;Greek folk poems&#8221; is not accurate. We talk about folk songs (\u03b4\u03b7\u03bc\u03bf\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac \u03c4\u03c1\u03b1\u03b3\u03bf\u03cd\u03b4\u03b9\u03b1).<br \/>\n#2. Usually, the metric form is \u03b9\u03b1\u03bc\u03b2\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc\u03c2 \u03b4\u03b5\u03ba\u03b1\u03c0\u03b5\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c3\u03cd\u03bb\u03bb\u03b1\u03b2\u03bf\u03c2 \u03ae \u03c0\u03bf\u03bb\u03b9\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc\u03c2 \u03c3\u03c4\u03af\u03c7\u03bf\u03c2 (political verse), deriving from ancient Greek poetry. \u03a0\u03bf\u03bb\u03b9\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc\u03c2 is no related to politics. It refers to the verses used by common people.<br \/>\n#3. One of the most common topics is death. In this song, the hero believes that he will never die and builds a tall house, so that he cannot be found by \u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2 (Charon, death). However, he cannot change his fate.<br \/>\n#4. In general,there are no rhymes.<br \/>\n#5.
