In this post we will see some words and phrases related to the precautions taken due to the rise of the COVID cases (\u03ba\u03c1\u03bf\u03cd\u03c3\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1<\/strong> \u03ba\u03bf\u03c1\u03c9\u03bd\u03bf\u03ca\u03bf\u03cd)<\/strong> in Greece.<\/p>\n

All children over four years old and teachers wear masks. The masks are given to the students for free.<\/p>\n

\u039a\u03ac\u03b8\u03b5 \u03bc\u03b1\u03b8\u03b7\u03c4\u03ae\u03c2 \u03ad\u03c7\u03b5\u03b9 \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1 \u03b1\u03c4\u03bf\u03bc\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc \u03c0\u03b1\u03b3\u03bf\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9<\/strong>. \u0391\u03c5\u03c4\u03cc \u03b3\u03af\u03bd\u03b5\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9 \u03b3\u03b9\u03b1 \u03bd\u03b1 \u03bc\u03b7\u03bd \u03c0\u03af\u03bd\u03bf\u03c5\u03bd \u03bd\u03b5\u03c1\u03cc \u03b1\u03c0\u03b5\u03c5\u03b8\u03b5\u03af\u03b1\u03c2 \u03b1\u03c0\u03cc \u03c4\u03b7 \u03b2\u03c1\u03cd\u03c3\u03b7.<\/strong> Each student has a personal vacuum flask. The flasks are given to the students in order to avoid drinking water directly from the tap.<\/p>\n

\u039f\u03b9 \u03b5\u03ba\u03b4\u03c1\u03bf\u03bc\u03ad\u03c2 \u03b1\u03bd\u03b1\u03b2\u03ac\u03bb\u03bb\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9<\/strong>. The filed trips have been postponed.<\/p>\n

\u039f\u03b9 \u03bc\u03b1\u03b8\u03b7\u03c4\u03ad\u03c2 \u03b2\u03b3\u03b1\u03af\u03bd\u03bf\u03c5\u03bd \u03b3\u03b9\u03b1 \u03b4\u03b9\u03ac\u03bb\u03b5\u03b9\u03bc\u03bc\u03b1 \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03b1\u03cd\u03bb\u03b9\u03bf \u03c3\u03b5 \u03b4\u03b9\u03b1\u03c6\u03bf\u03c1\u03b5\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ad\u03c2 \u03ce\u03c1\u03b5\u03c2<\/strong>. The break between classes takes place at different hours so the students do not stay at the court yard all together.<\/p>\n

\u0391\u03bd \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1\u03c2 \u03bc\u03b1\u03b8\u03b7\u03c4\u03ae\u03c2 \u03b2\u03c1\u03b5\u03b8\u03b5\u03af \u03b8\u03b5\u03c1\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc\u03c2 \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03bd \u03ba\u03bf\u03c1\u03c9\u03bd\u03bf\u03ca\u03cc, \u03c4\u03bf \u03c4\u03bc\u03ae\u03bc\u03b1 \u03ba\u03bb\u03b5\u03af\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9.<\/strong> If a student is tested positive for COVID, the class is closed and the student stays home for fourteen days. If the whole school needs to close, there will be distance learning (\u03c4\u03b7\u03bb\u03b5\u03ba\u03c0\u03b1\u03af\u03b4\u03b5\u03c5\u03c3\u03b7)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Greece, a large number of primary school students are taken care by their grand parents when their parents are at work. Some children can stay at school longer to do their homework, supervised by a teacher, or to choose to study one of the following topics: English, Visual Arts, Music or Drama (\u0391\u03b3\u03b3\u03bb\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac, \u0395\u03b9\u03ba\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac, \u039c\u03bf\u03c5\u03c3\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae \u03ae \u0398\u03b5\u03b1\u03c4\u03c1\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae \u0391\u03b3\u03c9\u03b3\u03ae)<\/strong>. This is called \u03bf\u03bb\u03bf\u03ae\u03bc\u03b5\u03c1\u03bf \u03c3\u03c7\u03bf\u03bb\u03b5\u03af\u03bf<\/strong> (all-day school). So far, there was a number of prerequisites for a student to be accepted to \u03bf\u03bb\u03bf\u03ae\u03bc\u03b5\u03c1\u03bf \u03c3\u03c7\u03bf\u03bb\u03b5\u03af\u03bf but this year all students are accepted, in an attempt to protect the elderly from COVID.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know how the school year will end. Some parents and students follow the instructions given by the Ministry of Education (\u03a5\u03c0\u03bf\u03c5\u03c1\u03b3\u03b5\u03af\u03bf \u03a0\u03b1\u03b9\u03b4\u03b5\u03af\u03b1\u03c2) but there are also those who refuse to wear masks (\u03b1\u03c1\u03bd\u03b7\u03c4\u03ad\u03c2<\/strong> \u03c4\u03b7\u03c2 \u03bc\u03ac\u03c3\u03ba\u03b1\u03c2)<\/strong>. We all hope that the pandemic will not be out of control (\u03b5\u03ba\u03c4\u03cc\u03c2 \u03b5\u03bb\u03ad\u03b3\u03c7\u03bf\u03c5)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
