Poem in Hindi – Man Mein Sapne Posted by on Nov 15, 2012 in Hindi Language

Like some interesting poems in Hindi which I had shared with you in previous post, today I have an interesting poem for you. I have translated the poem into English so you can also understand how to read a poem in Hindi.

Hope, you will try to comprehend the poem with the above given explanation. So, here it is.

(Man Mein Sapne – Dreams in the mind)
(Udaybhanu ‘Hans’)

If there were no dreams in the mind,
we would have not gone to the moon.

Why do you search only in the forest,
wolfs are now everywhere.

The world would have became a cemetery/cremation ground
if there were no poets.

How would they get to God,
those who don’t become unwary of themselves.

You ask about our address,
we, mystics, don’t have a home.

    .
Gati prabal pairo me bhari fir kyu rahu dar dar khada…
Jab aaj maire samne hai raasta itna pada…
    Chalna hmara kaam hai…
Kuch keh liya kuch sun liya kuch bojh apna bat gaya….
Achcha hua tum mil gaye kuch raasta hi kat gaya…
Kya raah ma parichay karu raahi hmara naam hai….
    Chalna hmara kaam hai…
Har ek pag par kuch na kuch roda atkta hi raha…
Nirasha kyu mujhe.. Jivan isi ka naam hai….
    Chalna hmara kaam hai…
Saath me chalte hue kuch beech se hi fir gaye…
Waqt na jivan ka ruka jo gir gaye so gir gaye…
Rahe har dum uski hi saflta jiske sang ye NAAM hai…
    Chalna hmara kaam hai……
