We&#8217;re going to start where we left off with the Hindi consonants (<strong>\u0935\u094d\u092f\u0902\u091c\u0928<\/strong>):<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u091f<\/strong> &#8211; Is a hard English t like <strong>T<\/strong>rick.\u00a0The Hindi word that contains this sound is the Hindi\u00a0word for tomato (<span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u091f\u092e\u093e\u091f\u0930\"><strong>\u091f\u092e\u093e\u091f\u0930<\/strong><\/span><\/span>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0920<\/strong> &#8211; is like the\u00a0th in ligh<strong>TH<\/strong>ouse. The Hindi words for blacksmith = (<strong>\u0920\u0920\u0947\u0930\u093e<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0921<\/strong> &#8211; is like the d in <strong>D<\/strong>orm. The Hindi words for robber or bandit is (<strong>\u0921\u0915\u0948\u0924\u0940<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0922 <\/strong>&#8211; is like the dh in mu<strong>DH<\/strong>ut. Cattle = (<strong>\u0922\u094b\u0930<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0923<\/strong> &#8211; is a nasal sound and like the n in tur<strong>N<\/strong>ing.\u00a0The sound is made with the tip of your tongue.\u00a0This letter is only used for Sanskrit loan words, not for actual Hindi words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0924<\/strong> &#8211; there&#8217;s really no comparable English word that contains this sound. The best I can do is explain it as a th sound with a soft English t sound. The word for scale = (<span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0924\u0930\u093e\u091c\u0942\"><strong>\u0924\u0930\u093e\u091c\u0942<\/strong><\/span><\/span>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0925<\/strong> &#8211; It&#8217;s kind of like the t in <strong>T<\/strong>in.
