This statue is forty-one meters tall and is the tallest statue in India. It also happens to be the tallest statue depicting Hanuman in the entire world.<\/p>\n
\n
The Shiva of Murudeshwara is the second tallest statue of Shiva in the whole world. It is thirty-seven meters in height and located in the town of Murudeshwara. Originally the statue had four arms, but a strong wind blew one arm away. The arm that blew away used to carry a drum. The statue was also painted in gold, but the acid from the rain has dissolved the paint off the statue.<\/p>\n
\n
The statue of Padmasambhava in Rewalsar is thirty-seven point five meters tall. The statue depicts a famous guru who was punished by a king by being burnt alive. The local legend says that the place where he was burnt turned into a lake.
