The Meenakshi Amman Temple is named after the Meenakshi, the avatar of Goddess Parvati. There is a sacred pond inside the temple. This pond is considered a holy site. There is also a place called a Thousand Pillar Hall. This hall contains intricately carved pillars of the Goddess.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNDu75nSwrY

The Sri Padmanabhswamy Temple is located in Kerala. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Usually temples devoted to Lord Vishnu have Lord Vishnu depicted in only one of the three postures; which consist of Lord Vishnu reclining, sitting or standing. What is unique about this temple is that Lord Vishnu is represented in all three postures. This Temple is considered holy because devotees believe that Lord Vishnu prevented the takeover of the temple from foreign invaders in several instances.

There’s another temple having the same name of the Akshardham Temple, but this particular Temple is located in Delhi. This Temple was build entirely of pink sandstone and Italian marble. No concrete or cement was used, which is a testament to Indian engineering! The Akshardham Temple is a relatively new temple considering that it was built in 2005 and is not thousands of years old like other Hindu temples. This Temple was built to pay tribute to the significance of Hindu culture and Indian history.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH0kdepgYl8

The Brihadeeswarar Temple is located in Tamil Nadu and is known as one of the most famous temples in India.
