In India, there are many waterfalls like Meenmutty Falls, which is a waterfall in the Wayand District of Kerala. It’s reported to be the eight highest waterfall in India and the second largest in Kerala. It’s a three tiered waterfall with a height of about three hundred metres. To see the waterfall, you’ll need to hike up a forest. For first time visitors I recommend a guide because the path can get dangerous.

Lushington Falls has many names. One of its names is Unchalli Falls. They are sometimes called Keppa Joga by the locals of the area because of the thundering sound of the water falling from a steep valley. The name Lushington comes from the name of a British man who discovered the falls. It can be seen in Sirsi, Karnataka and is a hundred and sixteen metres high. To see the falls you’ll need to hike through a dense forest. It’s about a three mile hike, but it’s worth it just to see this Waterfall.

Nohkalikai Falls is reported to be the fourth highest waterfall in India. It’s located in the East Khasi Hills District in Meghalaya. It’s three hundred and thirty five metres high and it’s one of those waterfalls that plunges straight to the bottom without being teetering off to the side. At the bottom of the Nohkalikar Falls is a pool of green-blue water. It’s a beautiful waterfall, which is why it’s a popular place for where tourists take pictures.

Talakona Falls is the highest waterfall in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is eighty two metres tall. Talakonga Falls is one of the few waterfalls that are located in a pristine location, rich with a diversity of flora and fauna. The locals claim that the water from the Talakonga Falls has healing properties because they pass through many medicinal herbs. There is also a nearby temple near the Talakonga Falls. Pilgrims to the temple come every year to stop and pray by the Falls.

The best place to go to cool off for the summer months is a place where you can see a waterfall.
