They help us to determine the structure and organisation of the written language as well as the intonation during reading.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Let me show you some of the common punctuation marks that are used in Hindi and how to use them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. \u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Consolas, Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;font-size: 12px;line-height: 18px\"><strong>\u092a\u0942\u0930\u094d\u0923 \u0935\u093f\u0930\u093e\u092e (|) (Full Stop)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This punctuation mark comes after the end of a sentence in Hindi. It is different than English full stop\/period (.) and<br \/>\nit is represented by a vertical bar.<br \/>\nExample: \u092e\u0948\u0902\u0928\u0947 \u0906\u091c \u092c\u0939\u0941\u0924 \u0905\u091a\u094d\u091b\u093e \u0916\u093e\u0928\u093e \u0916\u093e\u092f\u093e \u0925\u093e| (Today, I had a good food.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2. \u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Consolas, Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;font-size: 12px;line-height: 18px\"><strong>\u0905\u0932\u094d\u092a \u0935\u093f\u0930\u093e\u092e (,) (Comma) <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This punctuation mark is used when a sentence contain two similar clauses or a compound sentence contain similar sub-sentences. It is is used just like its English counterpart.<br \/>\nExamples :<br \/>\na. \u0967\u096f, \u0938\u093f\u0924\u092e\u094d\u092c\u0930, \u0967\u096f\u096b\u096c (19, September, 1956)<br \/>\nb. \u0930\u093e\u0915\u0947\u0936 \u0906\u092a\u0928\u0940 \u0938\u093e\u0930\u0940 \u0938\u092e\u094d\u092a\u0924\u093f, \u092d\u0942\u092e\u093f \u0914\u0930 \u092e\u0928-\u092e\u0930\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0926\u093e \u0916\u094b \u0917\u092f\u093e| (Rakesh had lost all of his property, land and reputation)<br \/>\nc. \u0935\u094b \u092c\u091a\u094d\u091a\u093e, \u091c\u094b \u0915\u0932 \u0930\u094b \u0930\u0939\u093e \u0925\u093e, \u0906\u091c \u0939\u0938 \u0930\u0939\u093e \u0939\u0948| (The child, who was yesterday crying, is smiling today)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">3. \u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Consolas, Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;font-size: 12px;line-height: 18px\"><strong>\u0905\u0930\u094d\u0927 \u0935\u093f\u0930\u093e\u092e (;) (Semicolon)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This punctuation mark is used when sentences in compound and mixed sentences are of opposite nature, or in between similar sentences, or emphasis on particular sentences, or after the main sentence, a example sentences is given etc.<br \/>\nExample:<br \/>\na. \u0935\u094b \u092e\u0941\u091d\u0947 \u092c\u0939\u0941\u0924 \u092e\u093e\u0928\u0924\u093e \u092d\u0940 \u0939\u0948; \u0935\u094b \u092e\u0947\u0930\u0940 \u092c\u0941\u0930\u093e\u0908 \u092d\u0940 \u0915\u0930\u0924\u093e \u0939\u0948| (He respect me a lot; He says also bad about me)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4. \u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Consolas, Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;font-size: 12px;line-height: 18px\"><strong>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0936\u0928\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 \u091a\u093f\u0928\u094d\u0939 (?) (Question Mark)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This punctuation mark is used after a question is asked or a doubt is shown.<br \/>\nExample:<br \/>\na. \u0915\u094d\u092f\u093e \u0906\u092a \u092e\u0947\u0930\u0947 \u0938\u093e\u0925 \u091a\u0932\u0947\u0902\u0917\u0947?
