Today, I would like to present some fact about the Hindi movie culture, its effect on society and my own views.<\/p>\n
It is very obvious from the fact that whenever you travel in any Indian city, you can see huge banners across the street’s corner showing the upcoming movies. These movies are usually a mix of action, romance, drama, suspense and musical with dances which is peculiar for Indian cinema. For many, the movies are good source of entertainment and for other, a way to escape reality, cocaine.<\/p>\n
It is a believed that the movies usually represent the picture of society and its culture. When I see present day movies and compare the reality of the society in North or across India, only contrary comes to my mind. Movies can influence people in a big way. The western influence on the Hindi movies is presented in such a way that seems so native to the society that there is no hesitation for the youth want to try out the things that they have seen in the movie and it seems that present society is representing the culture of movies\u00a0and not the vice-versa. We can say that the effect of Hindi movies is shaping the society and not the other way round.<\/p>\n
Our readers that might be learning Hindi language and its culture would like to note these points. The language used in the movies should be taken as what we speak or might speak rather than should be spoken or what the language stands in itself. In a single conversation, an actor might switch from Hindi to English to Urdu to Punjabi. Some of the songs in a Hindi movies might be in Punjabi or Hinglish (mix of Hindi and English). And, when I think of musical and dances, it always make me wonder that why I haven’t seen such a single performance in real social life? People might cover such musical or dance but it reality is far. Maybe because, such culture exist only in the movies.<\/p>\n
One good thing that I find with Hindi movies is, they give a way to escape the present stressful life and give an opportunity to share time with our dear and near ones.
