Compounds in Hindi are called\u00a0\u0938\u092e\u093e\u0938 (Samaas<\/em>). It is used to shorten the sentence construct. For example, if you want to say the room for cooking, you may shorten it and say only a single word i.e. Kitchen.\u00a0Sometime you also use a compound to replace two or more words.<\/p>\n

Lets revise some compounds with some examples.<\/p>\n

2. \u0906\u091c\u0928\u094d\u092e (Aajanm<\/em> – Lifelong) = \u00a0\u091c\u0928\u094d\u092e \u092d\u0930 (Janm bhar<\/em> – full life)<\/h4>\n

3. \u092d\u0930\u092a\u0947\u091f (Bharpet<\/em> – Full Stomach) = \u00a0\u092a\u0947\u091f \u092d\u0930 \u0915\u0947 (Pet bhar ke<\/em> – with full stomach)<\/h4>\n

4. \u0930\u093e\u0924\u094b\u0902\u0930\u093e\u0924 (Rantonrat<\/em> – Overnight) = \u00a0\u0930\u093e\u0924 \u0939\u0940 \u0930\u093e\u0924 \u092e\u0947\u0902 (Raat hi raat mein<\/em> – during night)<\/h4>\n

5. \u0938\u093e\u0926\u0930 (Saadar<\/em> – Regards) = \u00a0\u0906\u0926\u0930 \u0915\u0947 \u0938\u0939\u093f\u0924 (Aadar ke sahit<\/em> – with regards)<\/h4>\n

6. \u0938\u093e\u092b\u093c – \u0938\u093e\u092b\u093c (Saf – Saf<\/em> – Explicit) = \u00a0\u092c\u093f\u0932\u0915\u0941\u0932 \u0938\u093e\u092b\u093c (Bilkul Saf<\/em> – very clearly)<\/h4>\n

8. \u092e\u0928\u091a\u093e\u0939\u093e (Manchahaa<\/em> – Desired) = \u092e\u0928 \u0938\u0947 \u091a\u093e\u0939\u093e (Man se chaha<\/em> – liked by mind)<\/h4>\n
