Out of these 3 adverbs, in this post I will revisit the adverbs of quantity in Hindi with some more examples.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As we know that the words which give the measure (quantity) of action are called Adverb of Quantity. In Hindi, it is called \u092a\u0930\u093f\u092e\u093e\u0923\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 \u0915\u094d\u0930\u093f\u092f\u093e \u0935\u093f\u0937\u0947\u0936\u0923 (Parimaanvaachak Kriya Visheshan).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Some of the examples are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. \u0905\u092c \u092e\u0947\u0902 <strong>\u092c\u093f\u0932\u094d\u0915\u0941\u0932 <\/strong>\u0925\u0915 \u091a\u0941\u0915\u093e \u0939\u0942\u0901\u0964\u00a0 &#8211; Ab mein bilkul thak chuka hoon. &#8211; Now, I am surely\/totally exhausted.<br \/>\n2. <strong>\u0909\u0924\u0928\u093e <\/strong>\u0916\u093e\u0928\u093e \u091a\u093e\u0939\u093f\u090f <strong>\u091c\u093f\u0924\u0928\u093e <\/strong>\u092a\u091a \u0938\u0915\u0947\u0964 &#8211; Utna khana chahiye jitna pach sake. &#8211; We should eat that much which can be digested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The underlined words, \u092c\u093f\u0932\u094d\u0915\u0941\u0932 (surely), \u0909\u0924\u0928\u093e (that much), \u091c\u093f\u0924\u0928\u093e (as much) are the adverb of quantity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In Hindi, the adverb of quantity can be further grouped into 5 types as per what they describe about the quantity of actions. These are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. <strong>\u0905\u0927\u093f\u0915\u0924\u093e\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 (Excess)<\/strong><br \/>\ne.g. \u0916\u0942\u092c (Khub &#8211; abundant), \u0905\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0928\u094d\u0924 (Atyant &#8211; extreme), \u0905\u0927\u093f\u0915 (Adhik &#8211; more)\u0964<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Example: \u0935\u0939 <strong>\u0905\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0902\u0924<\/strong> \u092e\u0947\u0939\u0928\u0924\u0940 \u0935\u094d\u092f\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093f \u0939\u0948\u0964 &#8211; Veh atyant mehanati vyakti hai. &#8211; He is very hard working person.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2. <strong>\u0928\u094d\u092f\u0942\u0928\u0924\u093e\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 (Minimal)<\/strong><br \/>\ne.g. \u0915\u092e (Kam &#8211; less), \u0925\u094b\u0921\u093e (Thoda &#8211; little)\u0964<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Example: \u092e\u0948\u0902 <strong>\u0925\u094b\u0921\u093c\u093e<\/strong> \u0915\u093e\u092e \u0915\u0930 \u0932\u0942, \u092b\u093f\u0930 \u092c\u093e\u0924 \u0915\u0930\u0924\u0947 \u0939\u0948\u0902\u0964 &#8211; Main thoda kaam kar lu, fir baat karte hain. &#8211; I will finish some work and then, we will talk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">3. <strong>\u092a\u0930\u094d\u092f\u093e\u092a\u094d\u0924\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 (Adequate)<\/strong><br \/>\ne.g. \u092a\u0930\u094d\u092f\u093e\u092a\u094d\u0924 (Pryapt &#8211; enough) , \u092c\u0939\u0941\u0924 (Bahut &#8211; enough\/sufficient)\u0964<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Example: \u0906\u091c \u092e\u0941\u091d\u0947 <strong>\u092c\u0939\u0941\u0924<\/strong> \u0915\u093e\u092e \u0939\u0948\u0964 &#8211; Aaj mujhe bahut kaam hai. &#8211; Today I have much work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4. <strong>\u0924\u0941\u0932\u0928\u093e\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 (Comparison) <\/strong><br \/>\ne.g. \u0915\u093f\u0924\u0928\u093e (Kitna &#8211; how much), \u091c\u093f\u0924\u0928\u093e (Jitna &#8211; as much), \u0907\u0924\u0928\u093e (Itna &#8211; this much), \u0909\u0924\u0928\u093e (Utna &#8211; that much)\u0964<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Example: \u0924\u0941\u092e <strong>\u091c\u093f\u0924\u0928\u093e<\/strong> \u0915\u093e\u092e \u0915\u0930 \u0938\u0915\u0924\u0947 \u0939\u094b, \u0915\u0930 \u0926\u094b\u0964 &#8211; Tum jitna kaam kar sakte ho, kar do. &#8211; You do as much work as much you can.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">5. <strong>\u0936\u094d\u0930\u0947\u0923\u0940\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 (Category)<\/strong><br \/>\ne.g. \u092c\u093e\u0930\u0940-\u092c\u093e\u0930\u0940 \u0938\u0947 (Bari-bari se &#8211; one by one), \u0915\u092e \u0938\u0947 (Kam se &#8211; as little), \u0925\u094b\u0921\u093e-\u0925\u094b\u0921\u093c\u093e (Thoda-thoda\u00a0 &#8211; little by little)\u0964<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Example: \u092e\u0948\u0902 <strong>\u0925\u094b\u0921\u093c\u093e-\u0925\u094b\u0921\u093c\u093e<\/strong> \u0915\u0930 \u0915\u0947 \u0907\u0938 \u0915\u093e\u092e \u0915\u094b \u092a\u0942\u0930\u093e \u0915\u0930 \u0926\u0942\u0901\u0917\u093e\u0964 &#8211; Main thoda-thoda kar ke is kaam ko pura kar dunga. &#8211; I will finish this work by doing little by little.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Hindi, there are three types of adverbs as I have mentioned in my post on Adverbs in Hindi.
