This simple recipe is an authentic Indian recipe which is easy to make. Although there are various variation of this recipe, I will show you the most popular one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Let me show you how to make this delicious dish at home.<\/p>\n<h2>Matar Paneer<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Recipe Servings :<\/strong> 3-4<br \/>\n<strong>Recipe Cook Time : <\/strong>26-30 minutes<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1 cup fresh or frozen Green Peas (\u092e\u091f\u0930- Matar)<br \/>\n3\/4 cup (1\/2-inch cubed) Paneer (\u092a\u0928\u0940\u0930 &#8211; Cottage cheese)<br \/>\n1 medium Onion (\u092a\u094d\u092f\u093e\u091c &#8211; Pyaaz), finely chopped<br \/>\n1 Green Chilli (\u0939\u0930\u0940 \u092e\u093f\u0930\u094d\u091a &#8211; Hari Mirch), chopped<br \/>\n2-3 cloves of Garlic (\u0932\u0939\u0938\u0941\u0928 &#8211; Lehsun)<br \/>\n1\/2 inch piece of Ginger (\u0905\u0926\u0930\u0915 &#8211; Adarak), chopped<br \/>\n2 medium Tomatoes (\u091f\u092e\u093e\u091f\u0930 &#8211; Tamatar), roughly chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Red Chilli (\u0932\u093e\u0932 \u092e\u093f\u0930\u094d\u091a &#8211; Laal Mirch) Powder<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon Turmeric (\u0939\u0932\u094d\u0926\u0940 &#8211; Haldi) Powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Coriander (\u0927\u0928\u093f\u092f\u093e &#8211; Dhaniya) Powder<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon Garam Masala (\u0917\u0930\u092e \u092e\u0938\u093e\u0932\u093e) Powder<br \/>\nFor shallow frying + 2 tablespoons Oil or Ghee (\u0918\u0940 &#8211; Clarified butter)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup + 2 tablespoons Water (\u092a\u093e\u0928\u0940 &#8211; Paani)<br \/>\nSalt (\u0928\u092e\u0915 &#8211; Namak) to taste<br \/>\nOptional fresh Cilantro or Coriander (\u0927\u0928\u093f\u092f\u093e &#8211; Dhaniya)<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. Grind onion, green chilli, ginger and garlic together in the small chutney jar of a grinder to make medium (\u092e\u0927\u094d\u092f\u092e &#8211; Madhyam) coarse paste. Grind the tomatoes to make tomato puree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in the same pan over medium flame (\u0906\u0902\u091a &#8211; Aanch). Add crushed onion paste and salt. Stir it until oil starts to separate or it turns translucent (\u092a\u093e\u0930\u0926\u0930\u094d\u0936\u0940 &#8211;\u00a0 Paardarshi). It will take around 8-10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">3. Add tomato puree and cook on medium flame until oil starts to separate, for approx. 5-6 minutes. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt to the pan. Stir and cook for a minute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4. Add boiled peas and 1\/2 cup water; mix properly and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add paneer cubes and cook for 2-3 minutes. We have added plain paneer cubes but you can add shallow fried paneer to enhance the flavor (\u0938\u094d\u0935\u093e\u0926 &#8211; Svad).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">5. Turn off flame and transfer prepared curry to a serving bowl. Matar paneer is ready (\u0924\u0948\u092f\u093e\u0930 &#8211; Aayaar)<span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"hi\"><\/span>. Optionally, you can garnish the dish with fresh Clintro or Corinder leaves.
