Suffix (\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u092f \u2013 Pratyaya) are very important elements of Hindi grammar. Many Hindi words can be created by the combination of a nouns or word derived from verbs and suffix.<\/p>\n

For example, the word \u201c\u0918\u0941\u092e\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c\u201d\u00a0(Ghumakkad \u2013 one who stroll) is a combination of noun \u201c\u0918\u0942\u092e\u2033 (Ghum – stroll\/walk) and suffix “\u0905\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c” (akkad). In this post, I would like to discuss Subject Suffixes (\u0915\u0943\u0924\u094d\u0924\u0935\u093e\u091a\u0915 \u0915\u0943\u0924 \u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u092f – Karttavaachak Kartya Pratyaya) in Hindi. These are the most important type of primary suffix (\u0915\u0943\u0924 \u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u092f – Kartya Pratyaya) in Hindi. These suffix when added to a root of the word, forms a noun or adjective to form the subject of the action. Let’s see some of the most important subject suffixes along with some examples.<\/p>\n

1. \u0905\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c (akkad)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u092d\u0942\u0932 (bhul) + \u0905\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c (akkad) = \u092d\u0941\u0932\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c (Bhulakkad \u2013 one who forgets)
\n\u0918\u0942\u092e (ghum) + \u0905\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c (akkad) = \u0918\u0941\u092e\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0921\u093c (Ghumakkad \u2013 one who stroll)<\/p>\n

2. \u090a (u)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u0915\u092e\u093e (kamaa) + \u090a (u) = \u0915\u092e\u093e\u090a (Kamaau \u2013 one who earns)<\/p>\n

3. \u0907\u092f\u093e (iyaa)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u0918\u091f (ghat) + \u0907\u092f\u093e (iyaa) = \u0918\u091f\u093f\u092f\u093e (Ghatiya \u2013 Bad)
\n\u092c\u095d (bad) + \u0907\u092f\u093e (iyaa) = \u092c\u095d\u093f\u092f\u093e (Badiya \u2013 Good)<\/p>\n

4. \u0935\u093e\u0932\u093e (vaala)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u092a\u0921\u093c (pad) + \u0935\u093e\u0932\u093e (vaala) = \u092a\u0921\u093c\u0928\u0947\u0935\u093e\u0932\u093e (Padnevaala \u2013 one who reads)
\n\u0917\u093e\u095c\u0940 (gadi) + \u0935\u093e\u0932\u093e (vaala) = \u0917\u093e\u095c\u0940\u0935\u093e\u0932\u093e (Gadivaala \u2013 one who own a car)<\/p>\n

5. \u0906\u090a (aau)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u091f\u093f\u0915 (tik) + \u0906\u090a (aau) = \u091f\u093f\u0915\u093e\u090a (Tikaau \u2013 Durable)
\n\u092c\u093f\u0915 (bik) + \u0906\u090a (aau) = \u092c\u093f\u0915\u093e\u090a (Bikaau \u2013 marketable)<\/p>\n

6. \u0939\u093e\u0930 (haar)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u0939\u094b\u0928\u093e (hona) + \u0939\u093e\u0930 (haar) = \u0939\u094b\u0928\u0939\u093e\u0930 (Honhaar \u2013 Promising)<\/p>\n

7. \u0926\u093e\u0930 (daar)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
\n\u0932\u0947\u0928 (len) + \u0926\u093e\u0930 (daar) = \u0932\u0947\u0928\u0926\u093e\u0930 (Lendar \u2013 Creditor)
\n\u0926\u092e (dam) + \u0926\u093e\u0930 (daar) = \u0926\u092e\u0926\u093e\u0930 (Damndar \u2013 Strong)<\/p>\n

8. \u0906\u0932\u0941 (aalu)<\/strong><\/p>\n

examples:
