Vidyapati Thakur is a famous poet of this period. He\u2019s written poetry about love, Lord Shiva and nature.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, Bhakti Kaal (<strong>\u092d\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0915\u093e\u0932<\/strong>) (1375-1700) is a medieval period in Hindi literature. Bhakti (<strong>\u092d\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093f<\/strong>) means \u201cdevotion\u201d in Sanskrit and some of the literature in this genre happen to be religious in nature. That\u2019s not to say that there aren\u2019t any secular works in this genre. The poet Kab\u012br (<strong>\u0915\u092c\u0940\u0930<\/strong>) was a famous writer of this period. The poet Bih\u0101r\u012b (<strong>\u092c\u093f\u0939\u093e\u0930\u0940<\/strong>) is known for his work Satasa\u012b or the Seven Hundred Verses.
