In this dish, the bhindi\u00a0 or Indian okra is cut into small pieces and are cooked with the onion, turmeric, coriander and Garam masala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">So what are you waiting for, let&#8217;s make this delicious dish at home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Recipe Servings :<\/strong> 4<br \/>\n<strong>Recipe Cook Time : <\/strong>45 min (Cook time: 30 minutes and preparation time is 15 minutes)<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4894\" style=\"width: 431px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter post-item__attachment\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/11\/8580986508_21a20faa0a_z.jpg\" aria-label=\"8580986508 21a20faa0a Z\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4894\" class=\"wp-image-4894\"  alt=\"Bhindi Do Pyaaza\" width=\"421\" height=\"281\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/11\/8580986508_21a20faa0a_z.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/11\/8580986508_21a20faa0a_z.jpg 640w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/11\/8580986508_21a20faa0a_z-350x234.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 421px) 100vw, 421px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4894\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bhindi Do Pyaaza<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">500 gms Okra or lady finger (\u092d\u093f\u0902\u0921\u0940 &#8211; bhindi).<br \/>\n2 large onions (\u092a\u094d\u092f\u093e\u091c &#8211; pyaaz) or about 4 medium onions, about 2 heaped cup sliced onions.<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp turmeric powder (\u0939\u0932\u094d\u0926\u0940 &#8211; haldi).<br \/>\n1 tsp red chilly (\u0932\u093e\u0932 \u092e\u093f\u0930\u094d\u091a &#8211; lal mirch)\u00a0 powder or add as required.<br \/>\n1 tsp dried mango powder (\u0906\u092e\u091a\u0942\u0930 &#8211; amchur) or juice from half fresh lemon.<br \/>\n1 tsp garam masala (\u0917\u0930\u092e \u092e\u0938\u093e\u0932\u093e) powder.<br \/>\n3 to 3.5 tbsp oil (\u0924\u0947\u0932 &#8211; tel) or ghee (\u0918\u0940).<br \/>\nSalt (\u0928\u092e\u0915\u00a0 &#8211; namak) as required.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Firstly wash the bhindi in running water. Then wipe them with a kitchen napkin. Now chop the okra into half inch pieces. Slice the onions thinly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">In a pan or wok, add ghee or oil. Then add the chopped bhindis. Saute them on a low to medium flame till the bhindis become slightly tender.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Now add the sliced onions. Add all the dry masala powders except garam masala powder and amchur and mix well. Add salt too. Mix the bhindis well with the onions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Cook on a slow flame till the bhindi has become tender and cooked. Don\u2019t overcook as the bhindis will get mushy.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Lastly, add the garam masala powder and amchur. Amchur will give them little sour taste. You can use lemon juice (squeezing half lemon) instead of amchur powder.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Mix the garam masala powder and amchur powder with the bhindi and onions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Serve Bhindi Do Pyaza with rotis or phulkas. It can also be served as a side dish<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Just before serving you could garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
