I was the victim (shikaar)<\/i> of a robbery (chori)<\/i> today, and to say the least, it was a stressful experience (anubhav)<\/i>.\u00a0Theft (chori)\u00a0<\/i>does not always mean loss of valuables (keemati cheezayn). <\/i>Quite often it involves loss of objects dear (pyaaray)\u00a0<\/i>to us for the memories (yaadein)<\/i> they hold. In my case it was things given to me by my parents (maata-pita)<\/i> over the years as well as mementos of special occasions and trips.<\/p>\n

As I went through the mess left behind by the thieves (chor)\u00a0<\/i>to assess my losses (nuksaan), <\/i>I realized that no amount of caution (saav-dhaa-nee)\u00a0<\/i>and technology can protect us from material losses. In the end, we have to be thankful for the safety (suraksha) <\/i>of those dear to us.<\/div>\n
