They have no trouble coming up with complicated \u092a\u0947\u091a\u0940\u0926\u093e\u00a0(pay-cheeda)\u00a0<\/i>stories \u0915\u0939\u093e\u0928\u093f\u092f\u093e\u0901\u00a0(ka-haaniyaan)<\/i>. However, it is a constant challenge to offer detailed\u00a0\u0935\u093f\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0943\u0924\u00a0(vistrut)<\/i>\u00a0written sketches of characters \u092a\u093e\u0924\u094d\u0930\u00a0(paatra)\u00a0<\/i>and accounts of scenes \u0926\u0943\u0936\u094d\u092f (drishya)<\/i>. After all, a well written description is what sets your mind’s video rolling, thus playing out the book for you as you read it.<\/p>\n

When I was growing up, one of my favorite sections of the newspaper was the Sunday Matrimonials. Although brief, the descriptions of men\/women seeking soulmates, and the kind of soulmate they sought, never ceased to amuse me. This is also a good place to get an idea of the various castes and sub-castes present in India.
