However, when you take this ending off and take a look at the stem, some of them end in consonants and some of them end in vowels. For this post, we&#8217;ll look only look at verbs that end in a consonant in the stem or root ending of the verb.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at this verb: <span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\"><strong>\u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e<\/strong> = to say<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">I said = <strong>\u092e\u0948\u0902\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">We said = <strong>\u0939\u092e\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">You said = <strong>\u0906\u092a\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">He said = <strong>\u0909\u0938\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">She said = <strong>\u0909\u0938\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">They said = <strong>\u0909\u0928\u094d\u0939\u094b\u0902\u0928\u0947 \u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">1) the masculine and feminine forms are the same in the past indefinite perfect tense<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">2) You&#8217;ll notice that the <strong>\u0928\u0947 <\/strong>is attached to the pronouns I, we, you, he, she, and they. The <strong>\u0928\u0947<\/strong> is used for transitive verbs. Transitive verbs are used when an action performed by a doer affects someone or something other than the doer himself. In other words, the action is transferred to the object. In the sentence &#8220;John\u00a0killed Judy&#8221;, killed is the transitive verb because Judy, not the doer John, is affected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\">3) Whenever the stem of the verb ends in a consonant, add the suffix <strong>\u0906<\/strong> to the verb. <span class=\"ehm\"><span class=\"ehm0\" title=\"Search \u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e\"><strong>\u0915\u0939\u0928\u093e<\/strong> = to say, is the dictionary form of the verb. To conjugate this in the past indefinite perfect tense, take only the stem, which is <strong>\u0915\u0939<\/strong> and add <strong>\u0906<\/strong> and you get <strong>\u0915\u0939\u093e<\/strong>.
