The first is going to be the strong form of the adjective in efstastig\/superlative form; the second is going to be the weak form.<\/p>\n<p>To increase the complexity, you may use the pronoun form (h\u00fan, hann, \u00fea\u00f0, \u00feau, etc.) in place of the noun in the answers.<\/p>\n<p><em>Examples:<br \/>\n<\/em>&#8211;D\u00f3ri er st\u00f3r. Hinir str\u00e1karnir eru ekki eins st\u00f3rir og hann. &#8211;&gt; (a) Hann er st\u00e6rstur af str\u00e1kunum. (b) Hann er st\u00e6rsti str\u00e1kurinn. &#8211;Birna er feimin. Hinar stelpurnar eru ekki eins feimnar og h\u00fan. \u00a0&#8211;&gt; (a) Birna er feimnust af stelpunum. (b) Birna er feimnasta stelpan.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Note that the adjective &#8216;st\u00f3r&#8217; in this instance refers back to str\u00e1karnir and not to D\u00f3ri. Hinn is a definite article that means &#8220;the other&#8221; and is used to place emphasis. Note also that the strong form of the adjective is used in this construction because it does not come before the noun, but refers back to it. Note also that the strong form of the\u00a0<strong>efsta stig<\/strong> is used in this instance because it is not attached to the noun, but also freestanding, referring back to the noun.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(1) \u00d3li er k\u00e1tur. Hinir krakkarnir (the other children) eru ekki eins k\u00e1tir og hann.<\/p>\n<p>(2) Peysan er blaut. Hin f\u00f6tin eru ekki eins blaut og h\u00fan. *<br \/>\n&#8212; Like in English, Icelanders use &#8220;piece of clothing\/garment&#8221; which is fl\u00edk. So in (b), use fl\u00edk (FEM) in place of f\u00f6t.<\/p>\n<p>(3) Epli\u00f0 er s\u00fart. Hinir \u00e1vextirnir eru ekki eins s\u00farir og \u00fea\u00f0.<\/p>\n<p>(4) Halld\u00f3r er fr\u00e6gur. Hin sk\u00e1ldin eru ekki eins fr\u00e6g og hann.<\/p>\n<p>(5) T\u00f3matarnir eru \u00feroska\u00f0ir. Hitt gr\u00e6nmeti\u00f0 er ekki eins \u00feroska\u00f0 og \u00feeir*.<br \/>\n&#8211;Gr\u00e6nmeti declines as if in singular.<\/p>\n<p>(6) R\u00f3sin er falleg. Hin bl\u00f3min eru ekki eins falleg og h\u00fan.<\/p>\n<p>(7) Inga er lagleg (pretty).
