I haven&#8217;t taught you all of the grammar needed to understand the questions, or even everything needed to completely understand the posts I&#8217;m having you exercise, but that will have to come later or from your own textbooks.<\/p>\n<p>For the post about <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/icelandic\/2011\/10\/14\/spelling\/\">spelling<\/a>:<br \/>\nHvernig er \u00fea\u00f0 stafa\u00f0? &#8211; How is that spelled? (More literally: How is it spelled?)<br \/>\nGetur\u00f0u (&#8220;getur \u00fe\u00fa&#8221;) stafa\u00f0 nafni\u00f0 \u00feitt? &#8211; Can you spell your name? (Canyou &#8220;can you&#8221; spell namethe yours?)<br \/>\nYou can replace &#8220;nafni\u00f0&#8221; in the sentence with &#8220;heimilisfangi\u00f0&#8221; to mean home (mailing) address or &#8220;netfangi\u00f0&#8221; to mean Email address, and the rest of the sentence would be unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>For numbers <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/icelandic\/2011\/10\/06\/numbers-part-one-of-two\/\">part one<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/icelandic\/2011\/10\/10\/numbers-post-two\/\">part two<\/a>:<br \/>\nHva\u00f0 er s\u00edman\u00fameri\u00f0 \u00feitt? &#8211; What&#8217;s your phone number? (What is phonenumberthe yours?)<br \/>\nGetur\u00f0u a\u00f0 segja s\u00edman\u00fameri\u00f0 \u00feitt? &#8211; Can you say your phone number? Remember that with &#8220;it&#8221;, the word has to match the gender of the thing that you&#8217;re talking about (hann &#8211; he, h\u00fan &#8211; she, \u00fea\u00f0 &#8211; it). Even if you don&#8217;t specifically say what you&#8217;re talking about in the sentence, as long as it&#8217;s clear (ex. you&#8217;re pointing to it in the store) you have to know.<br \/>\n\u00deetta kostar ___ kr\u00f3nur &#8211; This costs ____ crowns. (same)<br \/>\nH\u00fan kostar t\u00edu kr\u00f3nur &#8211; It costs ten crowns (She costs ten crowns).<\/p>\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/icelandic\/2012\/02\/01\/icelandic-names\/\">names<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i958.photobucket.com\/albums\/ae69\/JuicyPuffin\/Living%20in%20Iceland\/c59ce91d.jpg\" aria-label=\"C59ce91d\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"height: 400px\"  alt=\"\" \/ src=\"http:\/\/i958.photobucket.com\/albums\/ae69\/JuicyPuffin\/Living%20in%20Iceland\/c59ce91d.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nThis was taken at the Reykjav\u00edk town library and is part of an exhibit of some kids&#8217; artwork.
