{"id":3334,"date":"2018-04-30T22:42:31","date_gmt":"2018-05-01T02:42:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/indonesian\/?p=3334"},"modified":"2018-05-25T03:04:31","modified_gmt":"2018-05-25T07:04:31","slug":"prefix-se-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/indonesian\/prefix-se-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Prefix \u201cse-\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are three different  use of prefix se-\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 One function of se- with nouns is to form adjectives that mean \u201csharing (base), having the same (base)\u201d, where the base is a noun.<br \/>\nExamples:<br \/>\nDia teman sekelas saya.\tHe is a classmate of mine.<br \/>\nMaya rekan sekamarnya.\tMaya is his\/her roommate.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, the se- (base) form may occur as a predicate and be followed by an accompaniment phrase beginning with dengan \u201cwith\u201d.<br \/>\nExamples:<br \/>\nWanda sekelas dengan Yolanda.\tWanda is in the same class as Yolanda.<br \/>\nAnaknya seumur dengan anak saya.\tHis\/her child is the same age as my child.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Other words in this group include:<br \/>\nsearah (dengan) having the same direction\/purpose (as)<br \/>\nseimbang (dengan) in balance (with)<br \/>\nsekantor (dengan) sharing an office (with)<br \/>\nselaras (dengan) in harmony (with)<br \/>\nsependapat (dengan) of the same opinion (as)<br \/>\nseranjang (dengan) sharing a bed (with)<br \/>\nsetara (dengan) equal (to), matching, on the same level (as)\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The combination of prefix se- and a noun sometimes forms an adjective meaning \u201call, the whole (base)\u201d<br \/>\nExamples:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 se-Indonesia<br \/>\n                           all &#8211; Indonesia<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sedunia<br \/>\n                          (whole) world<br \/>\n&#8211;       (orang) sekampung<br \/>\n     the whole village\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prefix se- means \u201cone\u201d. It occurs with group numbers to form cardinals:<br \/>\nsepuluh\tten<br \/>\nsebelas\televen<br \/>\nseratus\tone hundred\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prefix se- also form fractions, often in combination with per-:<br \/>\nseperempat \tone- quarter<br \/>\nseperlima\tone \u2013 fifth\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Classifier \u201cse-\u201d\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>A classifier precedes a count noun.
