H\u00e1 duas express\u00f5es comuns em ingl\u00eas que expressam conselho e prefer\u00eancia.<\/p>\n

A primeira \u00e9 had better<\/strong>, que pode ser traduzida como “\u00e9 melhor”, “seria melhor” e \u00e9 usada para indicar que se algu\u00e9m n\u00e3o fizer o que foi sugerido, algo ruim pode (might<\/em>) acontecer. Veja alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n

You‘d better<\/strong> study harder for the Spanish test if you want to pass.<\/em> (\u00c9 melhor voc\u00ea estudar mais para a prova de espanhol se voc\u00ea quiser passar.)<\/p>\n

Podemos expressar prefer\u00eancia com a express\u00e3o would rather<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The weather is lousy. I’d rather<\/strong> stay home than go out, I don’t want to get wet.<\/em> (O tempo est\u00e1 horr\u00edvel. Prefiro ficar em casa do que sair, n\u00e3o quero me molhar.)<\/p>\n

He’d rather<\/strong> have lunch at home than at work.<\/em> (Ele prefere almo\u00e7ar em casa do que no trabalho.)<\/p>\n

A negativa \u00e9 feita colocando a palavra not depois de rather<\/strong>.
\nI’d rather<\/strong> not go out tonight, I’m way too tired.<\/em> (Prefiro n\u00e3o sair hoje \u00e0 noite, estou muito cansado.)<\/p>\n

Para fazer a forma interrogativa, inverta o sujeito com a palavra would<\/strong>.
\nWould you rather<\/strong> go to school in the morning or in the evening? <\/em>(Voc\u00ea prefere ir \u00e0 escola de manh\u00e3 ou \u00e0 tarde?)<\/p>\n
