Para expressarmos a negativa de <em>must <\/em>com o sentido de obriga\u00e7\u00e3o, usamos <em>don&#8217;t\/doesn&#8217;t have to. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Usamos <em>mustn&#8217;t<\/em> para indicar proibi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p><em>You <strong>mustn&#8217;t<\/strong> smoke in a hospital.<\/em> (Voc\u00ea n\u00e3o deve fumar num hospital.)<\/p>\n<p><em>Your homework <strong>has to<\/strong> be handed in by Monday.<\/em> (Sua tarefa tem de ser entregue at\u00e9 segunda-feira.)<br \/>\n<em>You <strong>don&#8217;t have to <\/strong>do that if you don&#8217;t want to.<\/em> (Voc\u00ea n\u00e3o tem que fazer isso se voc\u00ea n\u00e3o quiser.)<br \/>\n<em>You&#8217;<strong>ve got to<\/strong><\/em><em> do something about it.<\/em> (Voc\u00ea tem que fazer algo a respeito.)<\/p>\n<p><em>Have to<\/em> pode ser usado em todos os tempos verbais para indicar obriga\u00e7\u00e3o e indica uma obriga\u00e7\u00e3o mais leve. Usamos <em>have got to<\/em> (&#8216;ve got to) em situa\u00e7\u00f5es informais. Podemos ouvir a contra\u00e7\u00e3o <em>gotta <\/em>com o sentido de <em>have to<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><em>You <strong>gotta <\/strong>study hard for your test.<\/em> (Voc\u00ea tem de estudar muito para a sua prova.)<\/p>\n<p>Obs. <strong>Gotta <\/strong>\u00e9 s\u00f3 usado na linguagem oral, na forma escrita use outra forma de obriga\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>O esperado &#8211; be supposed to<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>You&#8217;<strong>re<\/strong> <strong>supposed to<\/strong> take off your shoes when you enter a Japanese home.<\/em> (Espera-se que voc\u00ea tire seus sapatos quando entre numa casa japonesa.)<br \/>\n<em>I didn&#8217;t know I <strong>was supposed <\/strong>to do that.<\/em> (Eu n\u00e3o sabia que eu tinha que fazer isso. \/ Eu n\u00e3o sabia que era pra eu fazer isso.)<\/p>\n<p><em>Be supposed to<\/em> \u00e9 somente usado no presente e no passado.
